民围村是益农第一期围垦的移民村。[1]

在2020年第七次全国人口普查中，村域常住人口记为3929人，其中户籍人口1664人。[1]

村内以毛纺业为主，辅以金属、板材等产业，有生产型企业50余家。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月，村列入阿里研究院公布的「2020年淘宝村」名单。2020年11月，村被确定为「2021年浙江省电子商务示范村」。[2]

2021年10月，村列入「2021年淘宝村」名单；2022年10月，又列入「2022年淘宝村」名单。2023年3月，村被认定为「2022年度浙江省善治村」。[2]
