新发村位于萧山区最东端，南面与绍兴相接，是益农镇的行政村。[1]

地名[edit]

村名寓意新的发展。农业合作化时期村里为新发农业社，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

一百多年前，绍兴安昌、马鞍、齐贤等地的农民来此围垦落户，渐成村落。1949年后村域属绍兴安昌区塘北乡，1956年2月划归萧山。[1]

农业合作化时期村里建有同兴、合兴两个低级社，1957年合并为新发高级社；公社化之后，村成为夹灶公社下的新发大队；1984年起设村民委员会，隶夹灶乡；1992年后并入益农镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月，村被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」；同年12月，获「2021年浙江省卫生村」称号。[1]

2023年3月，村被认定为「2022年度浙江省善治村」。[1]
