弘扬社区是益农镇的一个社区，位于镇中心的繁华地段。萧山区于2007年经批准设立，2009年正式成立。[1][2]

地名[edit]

地名取意「弘扬围垦精神」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

关于设立的时间，两处资料有出入。百度百科记为2007年12月23日，由区民政局批准；博雅地名网则记为2007年8月，由萧山区人民政府批准，依据是益农镇人民政府的申请。[1][2]

2009年2月，镇党委同意成立社区党支部；2009年3月，社区正式成立。[2]

位置与范围[edit]

社区的东界在东沙村与兴裕村的交界处，西界为南沙大堤，南邻群围村，北以白洋川横河为界。社区共有3个居民区，由兴农、荣盛等小区及赵家湾一带的住户组成。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月，社区被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」。[2]

2024年1月，社区入选「浙江省2023年度省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。[2]
