沙田头村是浙江省杭州市萧山区瓜沥镇下辖的行政村，位于萧山区东部钱塘江南岸，紧邻杭州萧山国际机场。村名来自古时的滩涂，历史上曾被称作“烂沙田”。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初，坎山、昭东等地的农民来此开垦，逐步聚成村落。民国时此地隶萧山县六都二十三图。[1][2]

1949年5月初划为运西乡第2村。合作化时组建灯塔高级农业社，公社化后改为灯塔生产大队，1981年称沙田头大队；1984年起称沙田头村民委员会；撤区扩镇（1992年）后并入瓜沥镇，称沙田头村。[1][2]

地理[edit]

村域地处钱塘江南岸，杭甬高速公路穿村而过，并靠近该路的瓜沥出口。北塘河和三益线公路东西横贯全村。村域面积2.5平方千米，其中围垦土地较多。[2]

荣誉[edit]

村里曾获杭州市卫生村称号，另有浙江省档案示范村与萧山区文明村的称号。2013年获评浙江省卫生村。[2]
