地理与人口[edit]
据百度百科所载，截至2022年，村域面积1.46平方千米；耕地1267亩，下设16个村民小组，常住3206人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村地原为时涨时坍的钱塘江滩涂，二百多年前由绍兴及塘里一带农民迁来垦殖，渐成村落。民国时此地隶萧山县六都六图；1949年5月后归如意乡第十二村；合作化时设东升农业生产合作社，人民公社化时成立运东大队。[1][2]
1984年撤社设乡后，改为运东村民委员会，归瓜沥乡管辖；1992年撤区扩镇，划入瓜沥镇。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年，运东村获评浙江省善治村。[1]
