横埂头村是浙江省杭州市萧山区瓜沥镇下辖的行政村，位于航坞山北麓，在瓜沥镇政府西侧，北塘河贯穿村中。村名来自明末清初围垦时筑起的一道横埂。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

据区政府网站2022年发布的村概况，村域面积2.5平方千米，耕地1210亩，农户725户，户籍人口2951人，正式党员102人。建设四路、青蓬公路与三益线穿境而过，杭甬高速公路设瓜沥南、北两个出口在村域内。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

此地古代为钱塘江滩涂。明末清初，当地农民为围垦土地，筑起一道长约2里的横埂，村名由此而来。[2]

村中万姓由坎山一带的万家坞分支迁来，另有绍兴等地的农民到此开垦定居。上世纪三十年代，此地隶萧山县六都十六图。1949年后曾属运西乡；合作化时设忠心农业社，随后成为红旗公社的忠心大队；1961年起归大园公社，1984年称大园乡横埂头村。1992年划入瓜沥镇大园办事处，1997年改由瓜沥镇直管。[2]

荣誉[edit]

村里曾获浙江省卫生村、浙江省五星级文化礼堂、杭州市生态村等称号，并连续多年被镇评为综合先进。[1]
