村名来自它处于镇中的位置，同时又是镇政府所在地[1]。

2005年5月村规模调整时，里东徐、新发王、韩戴、田里胡四个村并为衙前村[1]。博雅地名网载村有村民小组24个，农户801户，耕地53公顷，未注统计年份[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，村被命名为浙江省2022年度省级「民主法治村（社区）」。2022年10月，村上榜2022年「淘宝村」名单；2021年10月，村列入由南京大学空间规划研究中心和阿里研究院发布的「淘宝村」名单；2020年9月，村入选阿里研究院公布的2020年「淘宝村」[1]。2021年5月，村被命名为萧山区2020年度「平安村（社区）」。2020年12月，村入选「2020年浙江省卫生村」名单[1]。
