明华村属浙江省杭州市萧山区衙前镇，位于镇的最南端。村子与绍兴的钱清镇三面相接，北面隔着河与四翔村相对[2]。村辖七个自然村[2]。

名称由来[edit]

村名源自旧时的明华高级社。该社名由黎明、新华两个初级社的名字各取一部分组成，寓意光明与兴盛[1]。

地理环境[edit]

104国道、萧绍运河和杭甬铁路贯穿村境，水陆交通方便。全村耕地46.7公顷，设14个村民小组，农户485户，总人口2022人，均为博雅地名网概况所载，未注统计年份[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

北宋太平兴国三年（978年），此地属凤仪乡下的路西里。雍正七年（1729年）时为二十四都的前方庄。1928年，东乡一带试行自治，本村归第七区的衙前村自治会管辖[3]。

1949年5月解放后，村属定一乡五村，次年改属坎山区交通乡。合作化阶段，村里先后组建了黎明、新华、解放、荣华、新农、新民、新联等初级社，1956年组建明华高级社[3]。

1958年10月，村并入交通管理区的前明生产队，隶属坎山人民公社。1971年复设衙前公社后，村改为明华大队。1984年改为衙前乡的明华村，1985年成为衙前镇明华村。原属的赵家上自然村已于2010年注销[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2023年3月，村被认定为2022年度「浙江省善治示范村」。2022年1月，村入选浙江省2021年度省级「民主法治村（社区）」名单。2020年12月，村入选「2020年浙江省卫生村」名单。2021年5月，村被命名为萧山区2020年度「平安村（社区）」[1]。

据博雅地名网，村还曾创建「杭州市园林绿化村」「生态村」「杭州市文化村」，未注年份[2]。
