历史沿革[edit]
社区的旧名是所前街村。据博雅地名网，村落在明弘治年间以后才正式形成，此后这里成为沟通浦阳江与夏履江的水路要道，各地的大米、山货和食盐经此运往宁绍一带。[2]
沿西小江一带约三里长的地段是食盐集散地，旧时盐号多达数十家。清末太平天国起义时，沿江盐号被烧毁殆尽；此后街村仍有上街、下街等商业区，商号、茶店和酒肆曾达百余家。[2]
1994年，社区内第一幢居民楼天乐新村1号落成，社区因此得名天乐。[1]2004年10月，天乐社区正式设立。[1]

2006年底，社区有居民户452户、620人，其中男性392人，女性228人。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年5月，社区被命名为萧山区2020年度「平安村（社区）」。[1]
