湘南村位于浙江省杭州市萧山区义桥镇北部，与湘东村相接，东侧挨着联三村，南面到义桥村，西面到民丰村，并紧邻杭州绕城公路[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村名取自位于湘湖之南的地理位置。2005年5月，峡山头、牌轩、后坛三片合并，新村命名为湘南村[1]。

基本情况[edit]

村下设15个村民小组，农户791户，耕地1248亩，山林933亩（未注年份）[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村域宋代属新义乡，元代归十六都，清末属义桥乡，民国时隶湘南乡、山后乡与义桥镇。1950年，峡山头村隶新坝乡（一度属连山乡），牌轩下村与后坛村属山后乡；1956年3月并归义桥乡。人民公社时期为义桥公社的群建、牌轩、后坛三个大队，1984年后成为义桥镇的峡山头村、牌轩村和后坛村，2005年5月三村合为湘南村[1][2]。

荣誉[edit]

村于2020年9月和2022年10月两次入选「淘宝村」名单[1]。2021年12月，村获「2021年浙江省卫生村」称号[1]。2023年3月，村被认定为「2022年度浙江省善治示范村」[1]。据2021年政府工作报告，村被评为区级示范儿童之家[3]。
