山后村位于浙江省杭州市萧山区义桥镇，村所在地是三江交汇之处：东侧挨着杭州东方文化园，南侧连接杭州绕城高速，西侧临钱塘江，时代大道则从村中穿过[1]。村域面积约3.5平方千米[1][2]。

地名由来[edit]

村名来自旧时的山后乡。村址在义桥虎爪山北麓，民国和新中国成立初期这里为山后乡，此名便沿用为大队名和村名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村域在宋代归安养乡，元代划入五都，清末为湘东乡辖地。民国时期分归湘南乡、山后乡与义桥镇。1950年2月，原属山后乡的双桥头、孔家埠、亭子头三个村各自独立；人民公社时期并为义桥公社的山后大队，至1984年4月才定名山后村[1][3]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月，村获评萧山区2020年度「平安村（社区）」[1]。
