社区的筹建始于2011年5月。2012年3月27日，区政府一纸文件批准其挂牌成立[1]。
辖区[edit]
社区下辖五个小区，分别是「三水一生家园」「金域三江园」「东方文化园步行街」「三江名苑（奇景家苑）」和「金域兰庭」[1]。
近年建设[edit]
2024年，杨岐社区新增为引领型未来社区，同年社区内的一处卫生服务站被评为中医特色三星级智慧卫生服务站[3]。
