临浦镇是浙江省杭州市萧山区的南部重镇，镇人民政府驻浴美施社区。镇域东边与进化镇、所前镇相接，南面靠近浦阳镇，西南与河上镇相连，西面是义桥镇与戴村镇，北面接蜀山街道。[6]

相传西施出生在临浦，镇内留有西施古迹群，蔡东藩旧居临江书舍也在镇内。唐宋以来这里是萧绍一带的商贸中心，萧山区政府地区概况称临浦为浙江“四大名镇”之一。[5]

历史沿革[edit]

978年，这里属苎萝乡的临浦里（北宋太平兴国三年）。元代改乡里为都图，归入十七都的第一图；清代雍正年间又有临浦庄之称。[3]

1912年，中沙潭以北至旧里河一线为界，东部划归绍兴县，西部仍属萧山县。1928年改行村里制，萧山一侧设为第六区临浦里。博雅地名网记1930年始称临浦镇，百度百科则以1932年为萧山部分设镇之年，两说并存。[3][6]

1950年，临浦集镇以东的一些村划归萧山，同年六月起设镇政府。1954年，临浦改为建制镇。1958年10月，镇域并入人民公社；1959年7月，恢复镇的建制，改由县直接管辖。1992年5月，大庄、通济、浦南三乡并入临浦镇。[3][6]

萧山区政府的地区概况把建镇史上溯到北魏《十三州志》，称距今已有1600多年；博雅地名网则称镇始于唐会昌元年。[5][1]

博雅地名网的荣誉栏目载，2014年7月，临浦镇经国家七部委确认为「全国重点镇」；2014年6月，国家环保部门认定临浦为「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」；2017年1月，浙江省政府将临浦列入「浙江省第三批小城市培育试点」名单；2021年4月，临浦被认定为「浙江省第二批千年古镇（古村落）地名文化遗产」。2022年1月，国家爱卫会对该镇的「2021年度国家卫生乡镇（县城）」称号进行了重新确认。[4]

地理环境[edit]

浦阳江自东向西横贯镇境，西小江与杭甬运河也流经辖区。镇域东西向最宽处约6.71千米，南北向最长处约12.09千米，镇政府驻地距萧山城区约15千米。[6]

浙赣铁路、杭金公路纵贯镇域，杭金衢高速公路与03省道东复线也穿过镇境，临浦快速通道则连接萧山城区与杭州主城区。[2][5]

文化[edit]

相传西施出生在临浦。西施古迹群依托西施、范蠡的乡土传说形成，其中有日思庵、浴美施闸等遗存。[5][7]

民俗方面，博雅地名网列出「萧山花边制作技艺」「元宵节（河上龙灯胜会）」「萧山翻九楼」等项目。萧山区政府地区概况称，老集镇保留着一片杭州市历史文化街区，街区带有民国时期的风貌。[1][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

西施古迹群分布在通二村、临北村和苎萝村一带，共有14处遗存，2009年4月20日由杭州市人民政府公布为「杭州市第四批市级文物保护单位」。[7]

临江书舍又名蔡东藩旧居，在东麓池社区达弄12号。它是一座两层的砖木宅院，按江南院落格局建造。民国三年至十六年（1914年至1927年）间，蔡东藩租住于此设馆授徒。1999年8月30日，萧山市人民政府将其列入「萧山市文物保护单位」名录；2009年4月，又被列为「杭州市第四批市级文物保护单位」。[8]

山阴街社区的老街由山阴直街、萧山直街、西市街等街弄组成，旧称饭架街，老字号招牌仍有保留。[5][10]

著名人物[edit]

蔡东藩（1877—1945）是清末民初的演义小说作家、历史学家，出生地在清代山阴县，今属临浦镇。1914年回乡后，他在临江书舍设馆授徒、著书立传，陆续写成多部中国历代通俗演义。[9][8]
