沈家渡村位于进化镇西部，依浦阳江而居，北与临浦镇接壤，西、南与浦阳镇相邻，东面有杭金衢高速公路与浙赣铁路经过。[1]

村旁有渡口，村内又以沈姓聚居，故名沈家渡。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地沈氏先祖来自河南封丘，辗转四川后，元至元年间自诸暨迁入。民国二十年，村址属绍兴七都十七图；1938年的《绍兴县志资料》已见沈家渡一名。[1]

解放后归绍兴县临江乡，1950年10月并入萧山县。合作化时曾名群谊高级农村生产合作社；公社时期是临江管理区的沈家渡大队，1961年起划归城山公社。1984年4月组建城山乡下的村民委员会，1992年5月改隶进化镇。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以运输业为主，凭借浦阳江转折处的位置；农业上有瓜田、养鸭、养猪等，村内建有采砂场，并引进了立信彩印包装等企业。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年5月，沈家渡村获评「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
