东山村是进化镇东南部的行政村，处在萧山、绍兴、诸暨三地交界处，三面环山，是萧山南片最东边的村庄。[1][2]

村名原为曹坞，高级社时期改称东山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名先有曹坞，据传此地原为邵氏居住的小山坞，后因曹氏发族而得名。明朝中叶，陈氏自义乌大陈迁入落户。[1]

解放后，此地先归绍兴县富岭乡，1950年10月改隶萧山县。公社化时期为东山大队；1984年4月才设立进化乡下的东山村民委员会，1992年转入进化镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

螽斯岭古道始建于明代，长约十华里，是萧山境内最长的山岭古道之一。[1]

村内现存树龄400余年的古樟树4棵，百年以上的银杏树10多棵，以及百年以上的古老墙门5座。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，东山村被命名为「2021年浙江省卫生村」；2021年5月，获评「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
