据博雅地名网，方溪村是2005年村规模调整时由三个村合并而成的，原来三个村各辖若干自然村，新村名取原自然村名中的一个字。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，村庄被命名为「2021年浙江省卫生村」，同月入选「2021年浙江省“一村万树”示范村」。[1]2023年3月，村庄被认定为「2022年度“浙江省善治示范村”」。[1]2021年5月被命名为「萧山区2020年度“平安村（社区）”」。[1]
