2005年5月村规模调整，原长山、荏山、富星三个村合并为长山头村。[2]

经济[edit]

村内工业基础较好，亿元企业有3家，规上企业16家；产业以电器照明、化工塑料、五金机械、服装羽绒等为特色，集镇市场也带动了第三产业。[2]

2022年10月，长山头村入选2022年淘宝村名单。[1]
