社区成立后仍保留“杭州市萧山棉麻试验场”的牌子，实行一套班子、两块牌子。[1]

据2022年发布的社区概况，社区常住居民1066人，外来人口将近264人；党员103名，社区工作者10人。[1]
经济[edit]
辖区内有一家大型啤酒企业。近年来社区借旧城改造之机加快综合治理，逐步融入新街新区的开发建设。[1]
