新华村是浙江省杭州市萧山区宁围街道下辖的行政村，北面临近钱塘江，地处钱江世纪城一带。村名由两个合作社的社名各取一字而来。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

据2022年发布的概况页，村的北面以宁新村为界，南抵北塘路，东以长山直河为界，西以通惠北路为界，面积2.05平方千米。[1]

浙赣铁路、萧甬铁路与沪杭甬高速公路都从村边经过，萧山机场也离得很近。[2]

人口民族[edit]

同一概况页记人口3980人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名取自原新星低级社和华兴低级社的社名，各取一字组成「新华」。合作化时期这里叫新华农业社。[2]

1949年后这里先设农民协会，1950年前后称十村。1956年并为十村高级社，因村名不妥，改称新华高级社。1958年设新华大队。1984年起称新华村，隶属宁围乡。1992年划入宁围镇，2014年转归宁围街道。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年1月，村入选「浙江省2019年度“省级民主法治村（社区）”」名单。2023年1月，村被命名为「浙江省2022年度省级“民主法治村（社区）”」。[2]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，新华村三次列入「淘宝村」名单。[2]
