闻堰街道是浙江省杭州市萧山区下辖的街道，位于萧山区西部，地处钱塘江与富春江、浦阳江的汇合处，隔江与杭州市区相望，距萧山城区约10千米。[1]

2014年8月，原闻堰镇的区域经省、市人民政府批准设为闻堰街道，行政区划和名称沿用至今。截至2021年12月，街道下辖6个行政村和7个社区。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋初这片土地分属两乡：南部为安养乡，北部为长兴乡（太平兴国三年，即978年）。元代又改为都制，长兴乡成为四都，安养乡成为五都（至元十六年，即1279年）。[3]

1932年这里为闻堰镇，1939年曾设长安乡，1947年乡镇编并后闻堰复为镇。1949年5月新政权建立，闻堰仍为镇，属长河区；1954年被批准为建制镇。[3]

1956年乡镇编并，原闻堰街道与长安、湘湖等乡的部分地区合并为闻堰乡。1958年设长河公社下的闻堰管理区，1961年改为闻堰公社；1962年复称闻堰街道，1969年街道撤销，并入闻堰公社。1984年5月改为闻堰乡，1985年4月改为闻堰镇。[3]

2007年7月，湘湖农场的区域并入闻堰镇。2014年，萧山行政区划调整，撤销闻堰镇、宁围镇和新街镇的建制，在原闻堰镇区域设立闻堰街道办事处，同年8月正式成为闻堰街道。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道地处萧山区西部，境内钱塘江与富春江、浦阳江在此汇合，当地素有「三江活码头」之称。[1]

人口[edit]

截至2021年12月，户籍人口约3.6万人；流动人口约6万人。[1]

文化与物产[edit]

2010年，省内首个「中国江鲜美食之乡」落户闻堰。[5]

农产以水稻为主，特产有「浙江龙井茶」和「湘湖莼菜」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

辖区内的老虎洞山临湘湖而卧，山上有莲华古寺，相传越王勾践卧薪尝胆处即在山上。详见老虎洞村。[5]
