远大村是南阳街道下辖的行政村，西面紧靠钱塘江，东面与东风村相邻。2005年两村合并，远大村由此设立，合并前的两村为长远村与南围村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取两村合并后寓意理想更远大、前景更广阔之意。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村始建于康熙年间，冯氏先人迁居狮子山东麓一带。18世纪中期兴起，村中先后出现以丝蚕交易为主的「万兴行」和以米粮交易为主的「万利店」，两店连接村落，成为赭山与南阳之间的交通要道。[1]

民国元年（1912年），村为赭山乡乡公所驻地。1961年定为长远大队，1984年改名长远村。1965年，赭山人在狮子山以西围垦造田，1971至1976年间南阳内地的村民迁来，成立新丰村，后改名南围村。2005年两村合并，远大村由此设立。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中万兴行冯府挂有乾隆皇帝御赐的「司马第」匾额。当地相传，过府门时文官下轿、武官下马。府前两侧路上有百米长廊和凉亭，供行人歇脚。[1]

战事[edit]

嘉靖三十三年四月，倭寇萧显率部五千余人侵扰赭山。赭山巡检司巡检王尚仁率弓兵和乡民，在狮子山金沙岭设伏诱敌。[1]

经济与人口[edit]

据2022年11月公布的概况，村内设18个村民小组，党员108人。户籍人口2238人，另有外来人口2539余人。村内以苗木、水稻、蔬菜等经济作物为主，二产有童装与雨伞加工、酒业、卫浴和五金等。[1]

1995年，省政府将「省级重点骨干企业」称号授予村集体企业长远电镀灯饰实业公司。[1]

荣誉[edit]

村于2023年7月被命名为浙江省「红色根脉」强基（基层党建）示范村（社区）。「2021年浙江省卫生村」称号在2021年12月授予村。「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」称号于2021年5月授予村。[2]
