赭山社区是萧山区南阳街道下辖的社区，位于街道西南部，三面有山环绕，南侧临近钱塘江。社区东面与永利村接壤，西面与坞里村相连。[1]
地名由来[edit]
社区境内的赭山得名于山石的赭红颜色。博雅地名网记述，晋永嘉年间（307至312年）天文历法家虞喜考察此山，潮水冲向山下，江西岸的山当时称折山，后改名赭山。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1984年此地设赭山街村，2004年11月改设赭山社区。[1]
地理环境[edit]
周边山岭有狮子山（北）、美女山（西南）和红山（南），西侧濒临钱塘江。山石呈赭红色，故有此名。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
南宋时的「赭山十景」位于此处，这里也曾是南宋皇家的狩猎场。[1][2]
经济[edit]
赭山自南宋起就是经济繁荣的小集镇，如今的赭山集镇同时为周边几个村提供市场服务。[2]
荣誉[edit]
「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」称号于2021年5月授予社区。[1]
