南阳街道位于杭州市萧山区东北部，濒临钱塘江口与杭州湾南岸，是区内的一个街道。街道行政面积32.84平方千米（含钱塘江水域），辖4个社区和13个行政村。2020年末，街道户籍人口为40984人。2009年，南阳镇撤销后在原辖区域内设立南阳街道。[1][3][4]

地名由来[edit]

相传清代有惠南、惠阳两兄弟在此开荒定居，此后陆续有人迁来安居，村落逐渐形成。当地人取两人名字的末一字，组成「南阳」这一地名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

唐代此地称赭山亭，隶属钱塘县。宋代红山以西归赭山里，属仁和县的长乐乡，红山以东的岩门盐场则属海宁县。元代隶属海宁州，清代改归萧山县管辖，却不编都图。[1]

民国时期这里设有赭山、南阳、西仓等镇。1949年之后，雷山、赭东等乡相继设立，1956年并为南阳、赭山两乡。1961年改设南阳、赭山两公社，属瓜沥区。1985年8月设立南阳、赭山两镇，1992年赭山镇划入南阳镇。[1]

2009年9月，经省市政府批准，南阳镇整体撤销，原地域改设南阳街道，名称与区划延续至今。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道东面与钱塘区的义蓬街道、靖江街道相邻，南面与瓜沥镇接壤，西侧以钱塘江为界，北面连接钱塘区的河庄街道。辖区东西方向最长约7.26千米，南北方向最长约7.34千米。[3]

青龙山、白虎山、狮子山各距街道约3公里，萧山国际机场同样距街道约3公里。[2]

境内除坞里外，多为滨海相冲积地层，土质呈碱性；气候属亚热带季风气候的边缘地带。[2]

境内的美女坝是观赏钱江潮的地点之一，街道因此被称为「潮都南阳」。[4]

行政区划[edit]

街道下辖赭山社区、南阳社区、潮都社区和空港物流园区社区4个社区，以及雷山、赭东、东风、永利、红山、坞里、横蓬、岩峰、南丰、龙虎、远大、南翔、南兴13个行政村。[1]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网的概况按2005年的数据列出，当时全镇有企业571家，经营门类包括化纤、建材、机械、针织服装和晴雨伞等。[2]

南阳经济开发区地处钱塘江畔，总面积7.88平方千米。该开发区1992年10月开始建设，1994年8月获省级开发区批准。[2]

同样据2005年的概况，街道当时有幼儿园5所、小学5所、初中2所，另有一所市属高级职业中学。[2]

文化[edit]

街道拥有「中国伞乡」「中国淋浴房之乡」「中国童装名镇」等称号。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

南宋时的「赭山十景」位于今赭山社区一带。[5]

荣誉[edit]

「2017-2019周期国家卫生乡镇（县城）」的命名由全国爱卫会于2020年7月作出，授予南阳街道。另外，街道在2022年3月列入「2022年浙江省美丽城镇建设样板创建名单（工业特色型）」。[1]
