靖东村位于靖江街道南部，北与花神庙社区为邻，东、西、南三面与瓜沥镇的村庄接壤。[1]

名称由来[edit]

村位于靖江殿的东面，故名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年5月后，村地划归运西乡。合作化时期并入靖江乡，组成友谊农业社；公社化后改称东升大队，1981年又称靖东大队。[2]

1984年设村委会，归靖江乡管辖；1985年起属靖江镇，2009年9月划归靖江街道。[2]

概况[edit]

辖区面积为1.5平方公里。本地常住人口2387人，另有外来人口1968人。全村分为18个村民小组，农户738户，另有租房165户，党员102人，耕地2011亩。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年1月，村入选2019年度省级民主法治村（社区）名单；2021年5月，被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年浙江省卫生村」。[1]
