黎明社区处于靖江集镇的繁华地段，东面与小石桥社区相邻，西面靠着萧山国际机场，南面是靖南村。[1]社区名称来自旧时地势低洼、池潭众多的景况，后因向往幸福生活而命名为黎明。[3]

名称由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，解放前此地地势较低，高低不平，有99个池潭，俗称「龙舌嘴」，生活十分贫苦。[3]合作化时成立黎明农业社，村名由此而定。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属靖江乡第十一村，1951年改隶山前乡，仍为第十一村，1955年10月组成黎明农业社。[4]

1958年10月，此地成为红旗公社靖江大队下的黎明生产队；1961年改称靖江公社黎明大队。1984年，它成为靖江乡黎明村；2000年5月设黎明居民委员会，2005年8月改为黎明社区。[4]

地理环境[edit]

社区区域面积0.99平方公里，水田651.5亩，其中围垦水田373亩，旱地55亩。[2]

社区总户数615户，总人口1739人，设13个居民小组，党员78名，流动人口2000多人。[2]
