紫霞村位于新塘街道办事处北侧，东邻浙东村，南靠杭甬铁路与塘里陈村，西接新城路与一都孙村，北邻西许村。[2]

名称[edit]

村名取紫气东来、霞光万道之意。合作化时曾设紫霞农业社，村名由此沿用。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1955年11月成立新丰、新兴、新华三个农业社；1956年7月，邻近的油树下、一都孙两村加入，共组紫霞农业社。[1]

1961年3月，分出河西、群力、紫霞三个大队。1984年6月设紫霞村，2001年7月改隶新塘街道。[1]

2022年的概况称，村内有15个村民小组，常住农户342户。村内设老年活动室、文化礼堂、文化广场与居家养老中心。[2]
