此地原为霞江乡驻地，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国《萧山县志稿》已载霞江村名，当时称霞浦村，20世纪30年代属五都四图。1949年5月后，此地为霞江乡驻地，合作化时并为霞江农业社。[4]
