社区处于萧山城区南部，北邻姚江岸与曾家桥两社区，西侧为吕才庄社区，南面隔河与所前镇城南村相望。社区前身为王有史村，后经拆迁改造。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

公社化时期此地称王有史大队，隶属裘江公社。1984年改为村委会，属裘江乡；1992年起归城厢镇裘江办事处。[1]

2003年行政区划调整后并入新塘街道办事处。[1]

拆迁与安置[edit]

拆迁前，社区辖王有史、朱家埭、后岸陈三个自然村，共设7个居民小组，占地约700亩。2009年的城中村改造使居民整体搬迁，2016年1月，全体拆迁户分得社区东南部的星际公寓安置房。[2][3]
