姚江岸社区位于萧山南部卧城片区，在育才路东侧、通惠路西侧，北以晨晖路为界。社区北面临横担河，辖区内有知章公园。[3][4]

名称[edit]

据博雅地名网，清康熙年间，姚氏一支自上曹坞村分迁至此。村落四面环水，去田间要乘船，从高处看去像江中的一座小岛，村内姚姓为大姓，故名姚江岸。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时的《萧山县志稿》已见此村名，当时属一都十图。1950年村里设立农会，1956年并入建兴农业社，1958年改为生产队。[2]

1984年改为村，2001年归入新塘街道。2005年，依萧政发〔2005〕94号文撤村建立姚江岸社区。[2]

设施[edit]

社区设有居家养老服务中心、道德讲堂、图书馆、青少年中心和消防体验馆，文化家园内另有乒乓球室与青年民兵之家。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月，社区获得萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）称号。[1]
