历史沿革[edit]
合作化前，此地设半爿街农会。1954年后组成民新农业社，1958年编入八一大队，1984年6月成为裘江乡半爿街村。[1]
2001年7月划归新塘街道，2002年4月改为半爿街社区。[1]
1997年，社区成为城乡结合部最早转制的14个社区之一，村委会改为居委会；2004年又推行股份制改革。[2][3]
城中村改造[edit]
2013年下半年，社区启动城中村改造。2021年回迁安置完成，建成8幢高层楼，拥有683套房屋。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年5月，社区获得萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）称号。[1]
