井头王社区位于新塘街道萧绍路北侧，东面临萧山商业城，附近商业较为发达。社区于2002年4月设立，前身是井头王村。[1][2]

名称[edit]

相传村中古时有九口水井，又因王姓聚居，故名井头王。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

合作化初期，这里曾分为龙新一、二两社，随后并入通惠农业社。1958年起以生产队、大队的形式组织生产，1961年隶属裘江公社。[1]

1984年改称井头王村，1997年转为居民委员会，2001年归入新塘街道，2002年正式成为社区。[1]

现状[edit]

2022年的概况称，社区占地约165亩，常住人口1475人，其中户籍人口977人。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月，社区获得萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）称号。[1]
