章潘桥村是蜀山街道下辖的行政村，位于街道南部的平原地带。东面以南门江为界，南面与所前镇孔湖村相邻，西面与沙里吴村相邻，北面与朝阳社区相接。03省道纵贯村域。据政府网站的村情，村域面积3.15平方千米，常住人口3899人。[1]

2005年6月，村规模作了调整，原蜀山村、东庄周村、姚家畈村、犁头金村与立新村五村合并，组成章潘桥村。[1]
