越寨社区是蜀山街道下辖的转制社区，位于蜀山路西侧、小白线沿线，东邻祝家桥社区，西邻溪头黄社区。社区区域面积0.9平方千米。[1]

社区于2016年8月整村征迁。[1]

地名由来[edit]

越寨原由越寨张、鸭水朱、鸭水潘三个自然村组成，居民早先以养鸭为生。越寨张一名，据博雅地名网所载，相传越王勾践曾在此驻兵。[2]

后来鸭水潘整体搬迁，村落并入越寨村，鸭水朱与越寨张连成一片，撤村设居后改用越寨社区之名。[2]

社区概况[edit]

据2022年11月的社区概况，居民户数为236，在住常住者1140名，此外另有511名外来流动人员。其中有26户拆迁户于2015年迁入广元公寓。[1]

社区设党总支与居委会，有党员67名，三委班子6人，设4个居民小组，社区代表51人。[1]

博雅地名网所载的旧数据显示，社区地域面积为832亩，共有17家企业，产业以纺织与机械加工为主。[3]

2023年，社区获批「杭州市民主法治村」。[4]
