向阳社区是蜀山街道下辖的社区，位于城郊结合部，浙赣铁路与萧然西路穿境而过。据2022年11月发布的社区概况，社区区域面积2.2平方千米，共467户家庭，户籍人口2068人，另有流动人口3000余人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年（1931年）此地属一都十一图；1949年5月后归西蜀乡。农业合作化时曾组建新丰等四个农业社，公社化时设共联大队。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区东北与戚家池社区相邻，东南与曹家桥、越寨两社区接壤，西面与溪头黄、黄家河两社区相接，北面与严家埭、安桥两社区相连。[2]

社区内有浙赣铁路线经过，萧然西路与环南二路也从辖区穿越，交通便利。[2]

2011年度，全社区工农业总产值为7579万元，可供集体分配的收入为200万元，居民人均收入16249元。[3]

社区先后被评为杭州市级卫生村、综合治理先进单位，并获区级整治合格村等称号。[3]

2021年5月，社区被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
