戚家池社区属蜀山街道，坐落于市心南路一侧，地处城乡结合部。社区东侧与南门江相望，西面和联丰社区毗连。博雅地名网所载社区总面积为113390平方米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

传说村前村后原有七个池塘，故称七家池。后来戚姓人家迁居此地，遂改称戚家池。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年（1931年）此地属一都七图；1949年5月后归西蜀乡。公社化后设戚家池大队，「文化大革命」期间曾改称东风大队。[1]

1984年设村民委员会，隶属城南乡；1992年起划归城厢镇城南办事处。[1]
