严家埭社区是蜀山街道下辖的转制社区，原为一个自然村，位于蜀山街道北部，与萧山主城区紧密相连。社区区域面积0.15平方千米。社区于2017年9月整村征迁。[1][2]

建制沿革[edit]

1966年，此地组织成立城南公社新建大队，并建立党支部。1984年改名为严家埭村民委员会。[1]

1994年，严家埭划归城厢镇的城南办事处管辖。2001年两地合并后，此处改称严家埭村。2005年，村级建制取消，改设为严家埭社区，名称一直沿用。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区东邻安桥社区，西接广宁小区，南与向阳社区隔河相望，北靠南秀路。社区内以徐家河为中心，分为河南、河北两个区块。[1]

水系发达，横河、徐家河、里秀河三条河流穿境，属典型的平原水乡地貌。[1]

社区概况[edit]

据2022年11月的社区概况，社区住户共156户，常住者756名，外来流动人口611名。拆迁安置的34户，分别在2011年与2015年分得住房。社区设党支部与居委会，有党员50名。[2]

2021年5月，社区被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
