金风社区于2013年12月底成立，地处萧山区金城路与风情大道交汇处的东北角。社区东面为萧邮路（规划名），南临萧绍运河与滨江界，西抵风情大道，北以北塘河为界。[1][2]
社区占地约158亩，建筑总面积约22万平方米，所辖楼盘为金色钱塘的一、二、三期。楼型包括城市排屋、多层公寓、小高层、高层和沿街店面。全社区共1718户居民，商铺113户。[1]
