墩里吴社区位于萧山区东侧城区，地处通惠路与金城路交叉口附近，由裴家埭和墩里吴两个自然村构成。社区前身为墩里吴村，2005年改建为社区。[1]
早先村落建在一处土墩之上，居民又多为吴姓，于是得名墩里吴。[1]
沿革[edit]
建国后，该地先隶属塘湾乡。农业合作化时称联庄农业社，人民公社时期改为长山公社联庄大队，1981年改称墩里吴大队。1984年设长山乡墩里吴村，1992年并入城厢镇城北办事处，2001年划归北干街道，2005年成为社区。[1]
