江寺社区位于城厢街道老城区。它的四界大致是：东边到萧然东路，西边到市心南路，南面是人民路，经江寺路伸至文化路，北面为萧绍路[1]。社区名称来自境内的古建筑江寺[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区的沿革为：1950年六村居委会，1962年凤堰桥居委会，1968年又设六村，1981年称江寺桥居委会[2]。2002年4月，江寺社区成立，合并了东仓弄、市北、永泰、金家桥、江寺桥、竹林寺等居民区，以及朱家弄、包家弄的一部分[2]。

人口与设施[edit]

户籍5388人之外，社区还有外来人口约3300余人。党员方面有在册329名，工作人员11名，居民小组9个[1]。辖区内的江寺公园、江寺民俗文化园、老年大学和江寺小学，都位于社区范围之中[1]。
