历史沿革[edit]
社区前身的新庄大队设立于1961年7月，1984年5月易名为杨家墩村，2005年5月起改为杨家墩社区。[2]
据《萧山陈氏宗谱》所载（清光绪三十一年，即1905年），明正德年间（1506年至1520年）此地已有村落。[2]
地名来源的说法是：相传此地靠近钱塘江，江边有两个土墩，后有一杨姓人迁居于此，开荒种地，逐渐形成村落，因而得名杨家墩。[2]
建国后，村中原有10个自然村，其中包括陈家里、塘外张家、来兴陈、褚家潭等；1990年后又增加西新区、东新一区、东新二区与上沙庙共4个自然村，至今都是居民点。[2]
地理与居民[edit]
社区区域面积0.8平方公里。博雅地名网载常住4618人，暂住18362人，未注统计年份。[2]
境内设杭州浦沿中学和区职业高级中学，另有卫生服务站。[2]
