月明社区位于杭州市滨江区长河街道南端，地处江南大道以南，2009年6月经滨江区人民政府批准设立，是一个新建的纯居民社区。面积约0.9平方公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于2010年3月开始筹建，2010年6月成立党支部。同年10月，首届居委会与共建委员会经选举产生。2013年4月改设党委，2013年7月选出第二届居委会和共建委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区北侧靠江南大道，南侧以滨和路为界，西侧临北塘河；东侧的春晓路对面是西兴街道的温馨社区。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区的五个新建小区是龙湖春江郦城（在建）、荣安望庄、风雅钱塘、倾城之恋和江南豪园。已建成的四个小区共有5505套住宅用房，共58幢楼。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，截至2015年11月底，入住者20000余人，其中8100余人为户籍人口。[1]

文化[edit]

配套设施有江南体育中心、江南豪园农贸市场，还有钱塘春晓幼儿园月明分院和杭州江南实验学校。辖区另有以世纪联华超市、酒店和餐饮为主的中赢国际商圈。[1]

社区办公点设在风雅钱塘小区16号楼一楼，设有党建活动室、警务室、电子阅览室和星光老年之家等场所。社区获得过省级卫生先进单位与杭州市健康单位称号，党组织也被确定为杭州市学习型党组织示范点（第二批）。[1]
