星民社区地处钱江三桥南岸，所在地即滨江区政府驻地，靠近地铁一号线，2013年撤村建居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1910年前后这里还是人烟稀少的钱塘江滩涂。1958年起名星民，沿用至今。[1]

解放前这里归13保管辖。1950年初设立协同人民政府，随后组建村农会并定名星民村。此村1958年改称星民大队，1984年成为星民村委会。2013年，此处撤村建居，设立星民社区。[1]

社区概况[edit]

社区分为13个居民小组，有833户。常住人口3105人，另有外来流动人口5579人。社区下设6个支部，有党员101名。[1]

2009年1月，星民社区入选第二届全国文明村镇名单。[1]

2023年6月，社区入选首批浙江省现代社区名单；2023年7月，被命名为浙江省「“红色根脉”强基（基层党建）示范村（社区）」。[1]
