马湖社区位于钱塘江南岸，东面与萧山区相邻，西南面有白马湖和越皇城山，北面紧贴长河街道，2011年3月1日成立。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
因靠近白马湖得名。该地曾名白马湖大队，后改名为马湖村。[1]
1949年6月设西陵乡人民政府；1954年3月设中共西陵乡支部。1955年此地称白马湖村，1956年改为西兴一社，1959年又成白马湖大队，1966年改称马湖大队，1983年才定名马湖村。[1]2011年3月1日，马湖社区正式成立。[1]
