社区居民多为辖区三家国有控股水电施工企业的离退休职工、在职员工及其家属。社区面积约0.6平方公里。住宅楼共49幢，住户1010户，居民3657人。[2]

社区设有卫生服务站、老年活动室、老年食堂、社区健身苑等设施。[2]
