历史沿革[edit]
春秋末年越国在西兴一带筑城以拒吴，城名固陵城。六朝时此地叫西陵。西兴在1934年至1959年底间，多次被称作西陵乡。[3]
社区的前身是西兴镇街道办事处。到2000年，该办事处所辖的居民小组有27个，共899户、1950人。[3]次年，即2001年11月，社区正式成立，名为西陵，下设40个居民小组。这一年的12月，办事处换了名称，改为西陵社区居民委员会。[3]
社区概况[edit]
社区东起风情大道，南接滨安路，西邻江陵路，北依北塘河。社区内有西兴古街，以及七个商品楼盘小区，分为45个居民小组。[2]
社区党委下设7个党支部，有在册党员220名。[2]
2022年1月，社区入选浙江省2021年度省级「民主法治村（社区）」名单。[1]
