五里塘社区位于杭州市西湖区三墩镇，前身是五里塘行政村，面积0.72平方千米。[1]
地名由来[edit]
此地旧时池塘较多，社区名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时属三墩镇第十保，建国初仍归三墩镇。1955年，河雪圩、五里塘等农业社并成五里塘高级农业社。1958年起称五里塘大队，1968年改为卫东大队，1981年9月属西行乡五里塘大队，1983年7月改为五里塘行政村，1984年4月回归三墩镇。2002年改村为社区。[1]
