新金都社区隶属文新街道，2001年3月成立，靠近西溪湿地风景区。社区北边是文一西路，南边是文二西路，东以古墩路为界，西侧靠紫荆港河。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1996年10月，这一片从余杭区转归西湖区。[1] 1997年征地之后，原有居民迁到新建的农居点，原址改建为住宅与写字楼。[1]

2001年3月，社区正式设立。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

社区由绿城桂花城、新金都城市花园与南都林语别墅3个住宅小区组成，占地约14万平方米。[1]

居民户数据博雅地名网为2400多户，人口6000余人；百度百科则记占地803亩、2623户、8000余人。[1][2]

2020年12月，社区被命名为「浙江省2020年度省级民主法治村（社区）」。[1]
