湖畔社区隶属浙江省杭州市西湖区文新街道，2000年12月成立。社区范围介于余杭塘河与文一西路之间，西面到古墩路，东侧邻接竞舟路。社区名称来自辖区内的湖畔花园。[1][2]

这片土地过去属于余杭区，1996年10月并入西湖区。[1] 社区于2000年12月设立。[1][2]

社区占地600多亩，楼宇有175幢，建筑面积38.2万多平方米。[1]

辖区有和润园、春天花园、政新花园与湖畔花园四个小区，此外还有幼儿园、小学与中学等配套设施。住户2200多户，人口近8000人。[1]
