地貌与历史[edit]
社区地处低山丘陵，泉水充沛，拥有近千亩山林，前山庙、古樟树等遗迹仍在。过去以种茶、种粮为主。[3]
横桥村党支部创建于1969年。[2]
城中村改造[edit]
2010年起，社区推行城中村改造，整村征迁后实行回迁安置，同时配套了转塘幼儿园与学军小学之江校区。[3]
社区的发展方向是园艺休闲与农庄经济，回迁后的住宅小区包括定北家园、沈合苑等。[3]
