历史沿革[edit]
五代后梁龙德二年（922年），吴越王钱氏割钱塘、盐官两县各一部分置钱江县，此地的建置可上溯至此。[3]
宋、明、清三代，此地为钱塘县西南部的乡，俗称上四乡，建置未变。辛亥革命后，钱塘、仁和两县并为杭县。1949年6月设上泗区。[3]
1961年3月起此地划入西湖区，并设转塘公社；1969年归杭州郊区，1971年又回到西湖区。其后于1984年起称转塘乡，1986年才改设转塘镇。[3]
2007年，转塘镇与龙坞镇合并，撤镇设转塘街道，灵隐街道的珊瑚沙、五云、梦湖三个社区划归转塘街道。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]
2024年9月，街道获评「全国民族团结进步模范集体」；2020年1月，街道被列为浙江省美丽城镇建设样板创建名单。[5]
文物与名胜[edit]
大诸桥位于百子山前的沿山河河口，为单孔石拱桥，现存部分系清嘉庆二十一年（1816年）重建时留下的，2000年列为杭州市第三批市级文物保护单位。[4][8]
明清钱塘江海塘（含四季青碑亭）位于狮子口村至九溪一带，2009年4月列入杭州市第四批市级文物保护单位。[4]
龙坞茶镇所在的龙坞一带是西湖龙井的最大产区，周边群山间有「龙门八景」等景致。[4][7]
高等院校与产业区[edit]
街道境内有杭州之江国家旅游度假区，云栖小镇位于其中，中国美术学院象山校区坐落在街道内；浙江工业大学之江学院也在这里。[6]
